The goal of this app is to increase the diversity of roles that can take part in product development. I also hope the tool makes it easier for designers and engineers to propose ideas. I think we are too often held back by our tools and our need to perfect.

While working at Flexport, the operations team would propose really smart ideas. I noticed the ideas that came with visuals were much easier to understand and had a higher probability of being implemented. I think this tool will help operation teams (and other non-design/engineer roles) get their ideas heard.

Also, throughout my career, I have noticed designers becoming overwhelmed by Sketch/Figma/etc. when they have a rough idea to communicate and get feedback on. I think there is a tendency to perfect design that holds designers back.

I also see engineers too often cut out of the early product process. My hope is that I can build a tool that will get them out of their code editors to observe the current reality of their product.

The perfect data-model—just like a perfect design system—will always be out of reach because of the highly iterative nature of software development. Software is always evolving and I hope nextuxdesign.com aids the process.
